Have your loose seems, wrinkles, buckles, rips, burns, and other challenging carpet problems fixed.
If you have noticed buckled, wrinkled, loose carpeting in your home or business, Richard from UK Carpeting can easily handle these challenges.
In addition to expert cleaning services, Richard from UK Carpet Cleaning is also highly skilled in carpet installation, repairs, and re-stretching buckles and wrinkles in your carpeting. He is a licensed, bonded, and insured California C15 carpet installer with a BBB A+ rating. Richard has been a professional carpet installer for over 40 years. He has seen it all.
Richard can professionally re-stretch carpet buckles.
Most carpet buckling can be corrected. The cause can usually be traced back to an original poor quality installation. Carpets must be POWER STRETCHED professionally to achieve the correct installation tension.
If you are remodeling your home, removing or adding walls to expand a living area, or if you are preparing to sell your home, it is by far cheaper to repair and reinstall the existing carpet than it is to purchase new carpet that may not even match the attached surrounding areas and color scheme of the rooms.
In addition, many carpet styles are discontinued over time making it impossible to find a suitable carpet style that will blend in with the existing carpet.

In order to achieve great results, Richard makes the best of the resources that are available to him. Quite often the homeowner has pieces of carpet left over from the original carpet installation that can be successfully utilized to repair the carpet.
If no carpet was saved from the original installation, then a piece can be used out of an existing closet, saving the cost of a whole room replacement, and limiting the cost of new carpet to a closet replacement .
Success Story - by Richard Midgley
"Recently, a homeowner was preparing his house to be sold and was convinced he had to replace a buckled carpet that could not be repaired. I was called out to offer an expert opinion and to possibly save an expensive carpet replacement. There are many reasons a carpet can buckle, so a thorough inspection was necessary to determine the cause. After a close inspection, I was able to determine the many correctable issues that caused the carpet installation to fail.
The carpet had disconnected from the tack strip and folded back.
1. The original installers had cut into the carpet backing, and then they tried to fix their mistake with a repair that failed.
I was able to correct that issue.
2. The carpet was badly delaminated (the secondary backing has separated from the primary backing).
I was able to correct that issue.
3. The padding was installed incorrectly slightly over the tack strip pins preventing the carpet from maintaining its dimensional stability.
I was also able to correct that issue.
Any one of these problems would cause carpets to buckle. Unfortunately, the original installation was doomed to fail right from the start. I was able to successfully repair all of these issues.
In one easy trip, I was able to repair, reinstall, and then clean the carpet, thus saving the homeowner hundreds of dollars and countless hours searching for new carpeting that would be very difficult to match the other carpeted areas and room color scheme."
